Respond       Mission Trips

Mission Trips at St. John are part of our Respond ministries.  Currently St. John takes a May trip to the mountains of North Carolina to do Habitat work.  In August 2015 St. John completed it's first international short-term mission work in the country of Guatemala.  Mission trips allow us to respond to the love and forgiveness we have received through faith.  As we use our God given time, talents, and treasures, to reach out to the world, God’s Spirit works within us and through us to accomplish His will and purpose.

MissionTrip1Matthew 25:35,40 For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me...And the King will answer them, ‘Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me.’

Also as part of our outward focus, St. John is supporting four missionaries/ministries with 4% of our tithes and offerings received each weekend.  We support J.P. and Aimee Cima and family who are serving in Cambodia.  We also support Nathan and Roxana Burke who serve with The CoMission for Children at Risk in the initiative Romania without Orphans.  And, we support John and Melinda Bombaro who serve in Latvia with the LCMS Ministry and Mission work in Eurasia.  St. John also supports Human Life Services in York, PA.
